Holiday fun starts as soon as the leaves fall and the snow flurries start to fly! Even before Thanksgiving, the Winter Holiday celebrations begin around Door County. Sturgeon Bay kicks off the festivities with “Christmas by the Bay” and the “Merry-Time Festival of Trees” November 22nd-23rd. “Christmas by the Bay” is located throughout downtown Sturgeon Bay, and the “Merry-Time Festival of Trees” is being presented by the Door County Maritime Museum.  North on the Peninsula, is the Ellison Bay Chili Supper and Tree Lighting on November 24th.

The beginning of December kicks the Holiday fun into high gear the weekend of December 6th and 7th with Carlsville’s “Holiday Open House”, featuring food, wine tastings, shopping, and other holiday specials throughout Carlsville.  The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor is hosting wreath making on December 7th, in conjunction with “Harbor Holiday” around Baileys Harbor.

Also December 7th, Ephraim’s popular “Christmas in the Village” Featuring family crafts, sing-along songs and carols, sweets sale (11 am-2 pm at Ephraim Moravian Church), a DIY wreath-making activity (11:30 am-2 pm), a visit with Santa (12-2 pm), horse-drawn wagon rides (12:30-2:30 pm) and more.
