11/30/20
- Replaced broken light fluorescent light fixtures
- Replaced old folding tables with updated clean granite white folding table
- Added laundry baskets for Housekeeping to avoid piling clean/dirty housekeeping laundry in public area
- Replaced washing machine detergent dispenser lids
- Removed old rag bins to Housekeeping closet
- Various cleaning/painting in room
4/24/20
Garden, 101-113 all work has been completed. They are all clean and ready to be rented. Units 201-210 the flooring was finished today. The plumbers are scheduled to come in on Monday 4/27/20 to finish putting in toilets and last minute touches. Once they are finished the staff here will begin the deep cleaning on those units. The plumbers will finish up the work on the downstairs managers quarters and the flooring guy will come back to put the floor in that bathroom. Then the bathroom remodels will be complete.
The roof was completed on 4/21/20. They filled in all the divots caused from the equipment and the weather. Robby will put down grass seed once the weather permits.
3/31/20
So we are still working on Garden, 101-113 and 201-210 and the managers unit downstairs bathroom. These are strange times we are in right now. With that being said, we are staying under the 10 person rule the government has asked us to do. Work is still progressing just a bit slower right now. Each contractor has only one person in working on their trade along with our staff. So were we stand this moment. All shower/tubs are in all units except 207-210 and the managers downstairs bathroom. Those four tub/showers were delayed and just arrived today. All flooring is now in the Garden level units and about half of the main floor is done as of today. Staff has deep cleaned all bedrooms in the Deluxe units as we can shut the door to those rooms so they are not disturbed. Thursday the plumbers will be working on setting the last four tub/showers (207-210) and then going back to put in toilets, back panels and grab bars. The staff has started cleaning the living rooms and kitchens. Once the plumber is finished we will go back and clean the bathrooms.
2/28/20
Plumbers have the tub/shower surrounds all put in down in Garden and 101-113. The plasters came in today and started putting in dry wall. They will be back on Monday to finish the drywall and plaster. Plumbers received the tub/shower surrounds for 201-210 today and will start installing those on Monday. The flooring crew will be starting their prep the week of 3/9/20. They are finishing a job so if they finish early they will start earlier. Since we have a cap with no work being done. I have turned your units back down to 50 and have shut the door with only the latch out.
2/5/20
High side first (114-122), second (212-219) are all back in the rental rotation. Everything has been taken out of Garden, 101-113 and 201-210. The new counter tops are in all units. All lines, valves and escutch’s have been replaced in all units. Sinks are in units on Garden level and 101-113.
1/16/20
The workers have finished on high side first (114-122), second (211-219) and managers upstairs bathroom. We are still cleaning units on high side second and we should have them all done by 1/28/20. If you want to use your unit and are on this side please call in advance so to check if it is ready or we can try to move your unit around to accommodate if possible. This section of 19 bathrooms took 12 weeks to complete.
Work has begun on Garden, 101 – 113 and 201 – 210. This section is the largest of the project 31 bathrooms. This will probably take to the end of April to complete, fingers crossed. Please remember we are still open and taking care of guests in house and cleaning rooms that have vacated. This means we are not just able to focus and spend all our time cleaning the rooms that have been undergoing construction. This project will also be turned over to the new GM to make sure it stays on schedule.
12/26/19
Due to the holidays and some unseen delays they are still working on the bathroom project on High side 1st & 2nd. We are still waiting for the toilets to be put in and sinks to be hooked up on 1st floor. Once they are done we can then start the cleaning process on that floor. The flooring is now going in on 2nd floor. Once finished the toilets can go in and the sinks can be hooked up. Please remember we are still open and taking care of guests in house and cleaning rooms that have vacated. This means we are not just able to focus and spend all our time cleaning the rooms that have been undergoing construction.
The bathroom project starts on November 4th, 2019. We will be closing off High side 1st (114-122) and High side 2nd (211-219). Since we do not know how long this project will take because we have three different contractors (plumber, framing and sheet rock and the flooring contractors) and the bathrooms have never been remodeled (32 years old). These wings right now are blocked off from November 4 – January 1. We will adjust once we have a clearer picture of how long they will take. Once this section is done and deep cleaned we will open it up and close down the other half of the building.
